Winter Weather Notice – January 6, 2022

Sheila Gideon · January 5, 2022 ·

According to the National Weather Service, Arnold Air Force Base and surrounding locations are under a Winter Weather Advisory on Thursday, January 6, from 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST.  The weather forecast is indicating snow with accumulations of 2 to 3 inches across most of middle Tennessee.  Thursday morning, areas south of Interstate 40 will experience some freezing rain and sleet, but this mixed precipitation will eventually change to snow.

Please use judgment when deciding whether or not to commute to work.  If you come to work, please be careful on your commute, and exercise caution when exiting your vehicle and walking to your work location. If you decide to stay home because you cannot get to work safely, please notify your supervisor and record PTO, Comp Time, or Vacation, as applicable, on your time record.

The NAS Management Team will continue to monitor this storm’s impact and will provide updates as needed.
