“Here at AEDC I get to learn from so many people who want to help me be successful. We have so many brilliant minds on our team, engineers and craft, and I get to talk to them and learn what they know and how they address problems. Everyone has been so helpful and willing to offer suggestions or talk through situations with me. What better environment to learn?!”

“One thing that I think is really cool is that you can transfer to another facility and do a similar job in a completely new environment. The nature of what we do is cool—working with complicated systems, aging systems, and even new systems that you wouldn’t see anywhere else and trying to make them all work together to accomplish the mission.”

“I’ll never forget the day I got hooked on AEDC. It was the last couple of days of my internship when the F119 engine I helped install began testing. I was standing up on a platform area and I remember hearing the engine rumbling when it first started. That sold me. I knew then, I wanted to work at AEDC and in propulsion.”

Chris B.

Test Operations Engineer

“We recently had our first successful test in a wind tunnel using this new data system. It came with some challenges, but the system has increased throughput exponentially. We also recently had a request for the capability to play back data in real time to assist with training and were able to come up with a solution in a reasonable amount of time while still working our normal projects. That was a lot of fun.”

Hanh T.

ID&C engineer

“Everything in school was newer technology. Most things here are physics-based with technology mixed in. One of the biggest challenges is figuring out how to make the old and new work together and, when they don’t, figuring out why they don’t and coming up with a solution.”

Test Operations Engineer
