ARNOLD AFB, Tenn. – National Aerospace Solutions said “thank you” recently to local organizations for their assistance with this summer’s NAS Family Picnic.
During the picnic, employees and their families and friends traded donations for a chance to dunk members of the NAS leadership team. Proceeds from the dunk tank were matched by NAS and donated to Coffee County Emergency Medical Services and the Tullahoma Fire Department.
Both organizations were on hand during the picnic held at Frazier-McEwen Park.
“On behalf of the men and women of National Aerospace Solutions, we would like to thank you for your support of the first-ever NAS Family Picnic at Frazier-McEwen Park,” said NAS General Manager Dr. Rich Tighe in thank-you letters to the fire department and EMS.
He noted the fire truck and EMS vehicle were big hits at the event.
“We also want to thank you for the work you do on a daily basis to keep the residents of Coffee County, many of whom are employees of ours at Arnold Engineering Development Complex, safe and out of harm’s way,” Tighe said to Coffee County EMS.
He expressed thanks to the Tullahoma Fire Department for their daily work as well.
The donation to the fire department was directed for support of the Department’s annual Children’s Toy Drive.
The donation to Coffee County EMS was for the purchase of needed equipment and supplies.
