Air Force directs National Aerospace Solutions to start key contract
Team to run Arnold Engineering Development Complex Test Operations and Sustainment
ARNOLD AFB, Tennessee, March 2, 2016 – The U.S. Air Force has directed National Aerospace Solutions LLC to begin the transition period for assuming the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex in Tennessee and facilities in Maryland and California on April 1, 2016. The NAS team consists of Bechtel National Inc., Sierra Lobo Inc., and GP Strategies Corporation with teaming subcontractors Chugach and nLogic.
The Air Force had originally selected NAS in June of 2015, but a protest resulted in a reevaluation in November 2015 and legal action, which was resolved late last week. [Read more…] about Air Force directs National Aerospace Solutions to start key contract
Contract award update from Brian Sheridan, chairman of the NAS Board of Managers
I’m pleased to share some positive news today on the U.S. Air Force’s Arnold Engineering Development Complex near Tullahoma, Tennessee.
The U.S. Court of Federal Claims has denied a protest by an unsuccessful offeror, and the Air Force’s Test Operations and Sustainment contract award to National Aerospace Solutions, LLC has been upheld. As you may recall, the Air Force’s original award to NAS came last June but transition was delayed by a protest, award reevaluation, and finally the legal challenge which was decided late last week.
